Dan was born in Schenectady, NY on 10/06/1939. Growing up Dan was in the Boys Scouts and became an Eagle Scout. As a teenager he and his family moved to Florida, where he attended St. Leo's Acadamy and learned to play handball and racquetball. He joined the Air Force ROTC in college and graduated from Georgia Tech with an Electrical Engineering Degree. Dan spent 6 years in the United States Air Force as a Navigator traveling to 86 countries. He was Honorably Discharged reaching the rank of Captain. After the military, Dan worked at both Lockheed Martin selling aircraft internationally and Boeing as a Flight Instructor. Dan went on to become the Vice President of TUG Technologies Corporation in Alpharetta, Georgia. Dan and first wife Maureen 'Mo' settled in Roswell, Georgia where they started their family with two daughters Courtney and Danielle 'Danni'. In 1981 Dan moved the family to Tucson, Arizona and took over the family business, Buttons Appliance. In 1993 Dan started Buttons Commercial Beverage Service; installing and servicing the Greater Southern Arizona Region's hospitality industry for more than 24 years. Along the way Dan mentored many young people and assisted them in starting their own businesses. After many successful years he sold his business and retired in 2017. Dan remarried to Susanna on St. Patty's Day 2006, and they had many wonderful years together traveling to Australia and Mexico. He continued playing handball three times a week at the Raquet Club with his friends. Dan would regularly meet for breakfast Saturday mornings with best friend Dr. Ric Escobar and the Racquet Club gang. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Dan is survived by his loving wife Susanna, daughters Courtney (Steve), Danni (Jeff) and grandchildren Cameron, Taylor, Corbin and Reif. Stepchildren Vandra (Kevin) and Tyreen (Micah), Step grandchildren Maddix and Harper and former wife Maureen 'Mo'.
